What command should I use in command prompt to install requests module in python 3.4 version??? Pip install requests is not useful to install requests module in python 3.4 version. If your python version do not belong to any of above mentioned versions then you need to manually install pip (see links below). Click here for windows installation instructions. Click here for linux instructions. Installing packages. Suppose you want to install a package called requests (which is used to make HTTP requests). You need to issue the following command. I have installed python 2.7,added the path in environment variables trying to import requests module in python IDLE. To install requests module i am trying to use python -m pip install requests b.

I need to use requests in my code but it says that it's not installed. I get the following error:
No module named 'requests'
. It's actually installed and works in python 2.7: Requirement already satisfied (use --upgrade to upgrade): requests in /Library/Python/2.7/site-packages
. I searched a lot and tried to reinstall it, to download missing libraries, and etc.. but nothing helped. How can I make it work on python 3.5 ?Community♦

Python 2 and 3 (and their packages) can be installed and co-exist independently of one another. I would suggest using
pip
as the best way to install Python packages (and keep them up-to-date).- Install
pip
for Python 3 – using one of the following methods:Even content under public domain or that you made yourself must be cited, since the moderators can't otherwise know their source in advance. Citing only the host, such as Pinterest, isn't sufficient.Keep It Free and Easily Accessible.Posted content must be free, and easily accessible (not too many steps). 'SEGA' for Sonic). Art citations must include the name of the original artist or current copyright holder (e.g. Al qadim pdf.easy_install
(may be available aseasy_install-3.5
),- the distribution package manager (if running GNU/Linux) or
python -m ensurepip
(thanks, Mark Dickinson)
- Use

You can even place the 'requests' Folder (https://github.com/kennethreitz/requests/tree/master/requests) next to your 'script.py' and import requests from any script within the folder containing the requests folder
> root --> requests ---->init.py ----> [more] --> script.py
script.py can now import requests as always

I am facing issues while installing request module (python 2.7) on windows.
Tried the below steps as per documentation:
1
pip install requests
error
'pip' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
2
easy_install requests
error Kj starter windows 7.
'easy_install' is not recognized as an internal or external command, operable program or batch file.
3
setup.py

Can anyone please advise how to install the module on windows , without downloading any new stuff.

There are four options here:
- Get
virtualenv
set up. Each virtual environment you create will automatically havepip
. - Learn how to install Python packages manually—in most cases it's as simple as download, unzip,
python setup.py install
, but not always. - Use Christoph Gohlke's binary installers.

If you want to install requests directly you can use the '-m' (module) option available to python.
python.exe -m pip install requests

You can do this directly in PowerShell, though you may need to use the full python path (eg.
C:Python27python.exe
) instead of just python.exe
.As mentioned in the comments, if you have added Python to your path you can simply do:
Requests Module Download
python -m pip install requests
rprezrprez
On windows 10 run cmd.exe with admin rightsthen type :
1) cd Python27scripts
2) pip install requests
It should work. My case was with python 2.7
